This course provides the knowledge and skills required to work legally as a door supervisor. On successful completion, you can apply for your 3-year SIA Door Supervisor licence.

Assessment & Exams

Assessment Method What It Covers Details
Knowledge Exams Theoretical understanding of all units. Multiple choice exams (e.g., 4 exams covering all units).
Practical Assessment Skills in conflict resolution, physical intervention, and search procedures. Scenario-based role-plays observed by an instructor.
Question & Answer Application of knowledge during scenarios. Oral or written questions related to practical assessments.

The 1-Day Workplace Essential Course


This nationally recognised qualification provides the essential skills to handle a range of first aid emergencies. It is ideal for low-risk workplaces and is a mandatory prerequisite for the SIA security courses.

What You'll Learn

Level 3 First Aid at Work (FAW)

The 3-Day Comprehensive Course


This is the most comprehensive first aid qualification, designed for individuals in medium to high-risk environments (e.g., construction, manufacturing) or anyone wanting in-depth first aid knowledge.

Comprehensive Content

This course covers all topics from the 1-Day EFAW, PLUS:

  • Managing fractures, sprains, and strains
  • Dealing with dislocations and soft tissue injuries
  • Recognising and treating head, spinal, and eye injuries
  • Managing concussion and skull fractures
  • Medical emergencies: heart attack, stroke, asthma
  • Handling diabetes, epilepsy, and anaphylaxis
  • Dealing with poisoning and exposure
  • Treating minor injuries (cuts, splinters, nosebleeds)

Assessment & Certification

Assessment includes continuous practical observation by the trainer and multiple-choice theory tests. Successful delegates receive a Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) certificate, valid for 3 years.
