This course provides the knowledge and skills required to work legally as a door supervisor. On successful completion, you can apply for your 3-year SIA Door Supervisor licence.

Entry Requirements

You must meet these criteria before starting the course.


  • Mandatory First Aid: You MUST provide proof of a valid Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate (or equivalent) before you can be registered for this course.
  • Age: Must be 18 or over.
  • Identification: Must have a valid ID (e.g., passport, driving licence).
  • Language: Must have good proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, listening).
  • Right to Work: Must have the right to work in the UK.

Assessment & Exams

    Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "T&Cs") carefully before booking a course or using the website operated by 1ST DEFENCE SERVICES & TRAINING LTD (referred to herein as "1st Defence Training," "we," "us," or "our").

    By accessing or using our services, including booking any course, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the service.

    1. Services Provided

    1st Defence Training provides vocational and technical training courses, including but not limited to:

    • • SIA Door Supervisor Training and Top-Up Courses
    • • First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)
    • • Food Safety Training
    • • Personal Licence Training
    • • Fire Safety Training
    • • CCTV Operator Training

    These services are provided at our centre in London, or upon request and at additional cost, at other locations in the UK or globally.

    2. Course Booking, Payment, and Confirmation

    2.1 Booking and Payment

    All course bookings must be made online or through direct contact with 1st Defence Training. Full payment or an agreed-upon deposit is required to secure a place on a course. We accept payment by card or cash.

    2.2 Pricing

    All course prices are listed on the website and are subject to change without prior notice, except for courses already booked and paid for. Prices advertised are inclusive of VAT (if applicable) unless otherwise stated. There are no hidden booking fees.

    2.3 Confirmation

    A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of payment and issuance of a booking confirmation email from us.

    4.2 Conduct

    Trainees are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully towards instructors and fellow trainees. We reserve the right to remove any trainee from the course without refund if their behaviour is disruptive, offensive, or compromises the safety or learning environment of others.

    4.3 Prerequisites

    Trainees are responsible for ensuring they meet all necessary prerequisites for a course (e.g., minimum age, necessary right-to-work or identity documentation, or a pre-existing qualification like Emergency First Aid for a Top-Up course). Failure to meet prerequisites may result in exclusion from the course without refund.

    5. Intellectual Property

    5.1 Training Materials

    All learning materials, including presentations, handbooks, online resources, and electronic content provided by 1st Defence Training ("Learning Materials"), are the intellectual property of 1st Defence Training or its licensors.

    5.2 Usage Restriction

    Trainees are provided with a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Learning Materials solely for the purpose of personal study relating to the booked course. The Learning Materials may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or otherwise shared with third parties without our prior written consent.

    6. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

    6.1 Licensing and Employment

    Completion of a course does not guarantee the award of any license (e.g., SIA licence) or employment. The award of a licence is the sole responsibility of the relevant regulatory body (e.g., the SIA) following a successful application by the trainee.

    6.2 CV Assistance

    If we provide CV assistance at an additional cost, this is a consultation service. We do not guarantee employment or specific results from the use of the revised CV.

    6.3 Limitation of Liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, 1st Defence Training shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our services or the content of our courses. Our total liability shall not exceed the total course fee paid by the trainee.

    7. Governing Law

    These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
